I understand the concerns of young women who find themselves pregnant - not because I was an unwed mother, but because I was nearly aborted. When my mother heard the devastating news that medically she could die giving birth, she chose to believe God for her safety and that of her child.
I also understand the strongholds of drug and alcohol addiction - not because I abused them, but have personally felt the pain and heartache of family members trapped in life destructive behaviors.
I understand the damaging effects of abuse - not because I was abused, but because for the past 30 years, I have ministered to women (and men) wounded and broken from physical, emotional and sexual abuse.
The Home is a place of refuge - a place where God transforms lives. Of course there will be struggles for you, but with the help and guidance of a caring staff and volunteers who serve at the Home for Life, you can know true freedom.
My heart cries out to God for your sakes. God promised in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord; thoughts of peace and not evil to give you an expected end." I believe there is hope for your future. Please contact the Home for Life so that we may stand with you as God begins to transform your life.
